Obama Sounds Off on Mariah-Minaj 'Idol' Feud
Thanks to Miami DJ Michael Yo, there's one topic that Tuesday's presidential debate moderator, Candy Crowley, can scratch off her list: Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey. In a recent interview with Florida's Y100 radio station, President Obama was asked if he'd consider using his diplomatic know-how to quell the brewing beef between "American Idol" judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. "I think they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident," Obama assured listeners. "I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards." Asked to vote on his favorite of the two pop stars, the president judiciously offered that he knows Mariah personally and she's "a wonderful lady," while "Nicki, I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."
