Billie Joe Armstrong Could Face Lengthy Rehab
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong remains in treatment for alcohol and substance abuse in the wake of his bad behavior onstage in Las Vegas last month. And according to Warner Bros. Records Chairman Rob Cavallo, he could be there for quite a while. "He's under medical supervision for a while to get him clean. His doctors are still evaluating," Cavallo tells Rolling Stone. "All I can say is I don't know if we'll see him before or after Christmas. It's basically undetermined when he will be back." The incident that lead to rehab took place at the iHeartRadio festival, during which Armstrong got peeved that he'd run out of performance time and began ranting at a teleprompter message telling him to wrap things up. "You're going to give me one minute?" he yelled angrily, before dropping six or seven F-bombs and reminding producers aloud that he's been "around since '88" and concluding with, "I'm not f------ Justin Bieber, you motherf-----." Bet if he had then launched into a profane version of "Baby" they would have let him stick around. C'est la vie. (DailyMail)
