Tiger Woods Prior to Scandal: Family First and Golf Second
By ETonline Editorial Team
In his last known interview before news broke of his alleged affairs, Tiger Woods spoke of keeping his family first while maintaining his title as the best golfer in the world.
New Zealand's Sky Sport interviewer Murray Deaker spoke to Woods just days prior to his car accident that sparked a media frenzy. During the interview, that has yet to air, Deaker posed the question to the pro golfer: "Family first and golf second ... always been that way?" Woods answers, "Always."
Deaker suggests that Woods' family time means less time on the golf course, of which Woods, 33, responds, "I don't practice as much as I used to. I don't spend the amount of hours on the golf course, not like I used to ... But my focus is so much more intense than it used to be ... I know whatever I have to get done [has to be done] in a shorter amount of time."
According to People.com, the interview will air Tuesday on New Zealand's Sky Sport.
