Candidate No. 1: Matt Lauer and Justin Bieber
On June 15, Matt Lauer joined Twitter. But that's only half the story. On the day he signed up, he was interviewing Justin Bieber and asked the Biebs to tell his own 23 million followers to follow the "Today" host. "Everyone follow my man @MLauer," Justin tweeted. Because, you know, teen girls just love middle-aged news anchors. The ploy worked, and Matt ended up getting 40,000 followers in just 15 minutes. Five hours later, Matt had 100,000 followers. Still, he hasn't tweeted since that fateful day. What's up with that, Matt?
