Between being crowned World's Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine and playing mom to Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce's got a lot on her plate. But that didn't stop her from launching a slew of social media sites and apps this year. On her fourth wedding anniversary with Jay-Z, she celebrated by creating a Tumblr page full of personal pics. She also sent her first tweet to her more than 3.5 million followers from her verified Twitter account, which had been dormant since being created in April 2009, sending fans to her newly redesigned website. She also launched "#BeyHive," an app through which fans can access Beyonce-related news, her concert schedule and more. In November, she started an Instagram account.
But it wasn't just all about B. On Aug. 19, Beyonce debuted her "I Am Here" music video in honor of World Humanitarian Day, along with a request for fans to do something good for the world and spread the word about the cause on social media via Thunderclap. The goal was for 1 billion people to share the message, but by 9 a.m. on Aug. 19, they exceeded their target by more than 33 million people. Go, B!
