On the heels of Joe's shocking interview with New York Magazine, in which he dishes on Demi's breakdown, losing his virginity and being pressured into smoking marijuana by Demi and Miley Cyrus during their teenage years, Demi tells Wonderwall that she's willing to forgive her former boyfriend for his loose lips.
"People can see how good of friends we are because even when he does stupid stuff -- because that's what Joe does -- we'll still be best friends," the "X Factor" judge explained to Wonderwall on Dec. 6, in Los Angeles, where she hosted a McDonald's-sponsored bash to celebrate her cover of Nylon magazine's December/January issue. "And same with Nick [Jonas] and Kevin [Jonas]."
Demi doesn't seem to be harboring any hard feelings towards her former flame at all, adding, "It's all good."

When the interview with New York Magazine broke online on Dec. 1, it seemed as though reactions would be much more intense. Fans certainly had a harder time swallowing the revelations from the onetime member of the Jonas Brothers. "The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley. I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it!' so I gave it a shot, and it was all right," Joe said in the piece about his early drug use.
He also went in-depth about his romance with Demi. "One relationship that meant a lot to fans was the one I had with Demi Lovato, who I've known for years. We had been friends forever, we were both Disney kids, and because we played a couple in the 'Camp Rock' Disney Channel specials -- and fans liked seeing us together -- we eventually dated for a month. I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help. I couldn't express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect."
Just a day after the interview was published, Demi Lovato tweeted her support of Joe's candid interview, letting the world know that it didn't upset her. She tweeted, "@JoeJonas love you brother. #family/friendsforever."
Perhaps Demi's upbeat attitude has to do with the good week she's having. Her new book, "Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year," reached No. 1 on the New York Times Bestseller List in its category of Advice, How To, & Miscellaneous. But don't count on her to rest on her laurels.
Demi told Wonderwall that she's already at work on her follow-up: a memoir that will detail her life story, including her issues with addiction.
"I think it's time that I go into telling my story that I had a really, really bad issue with substance abuse," she said. "I think it's time that I open up about that."
