We've been a little concerned about Britney Spears since her January breakup with fiancé Jason Trawick. From her questionable clothing choices to an influx of teeny tail-waggers, she appears to be displaying worrying reminders of her pre-meltdown days. But it seems a stabilizing force may be spending time with the still-under-conservatorship popster.
On Valentine's Day, Brit-Brit was blurrily snapped at a sushi restaurant with a "mystery man," one who also took her golfing over the weekend. TMZ identifies the "very normal guy" only as David, a 27-year-old law firm employee whose duties involve generalized "field research" (he's not an attorney and "definitely not a wealthy guy").
Originally from Atlanta, he reportedly met Spears, 31, through mutual friends. David is also an avid golfer, and it seems Britney has responded well to his pointers, so much so that she's thinking about joining the Thousand Oaks-area country club where they were spotted on the links. Conveniently enough, it's right around the corner from her mansion.
But is this a love connection? That remains to be seen, and Spears' reps aren't commenting. The pair's V-Day dinner took place at warp speed, according to TMZ, which says they scarfed down their sushi in less than 30 minutes. David paid the $60 bill and tipped slightly more than 20 percent.
Meanwhile, in between speculation that she's dating a regular guy, Britney is also trying her best to maintain the aura of a normal life. On her agenda last weekend: a trip to the grocery store, complete with a handwritten shopping list.
Paparazzi captured the mom of Sean Preston, 7, and Jayden James, 6, carrying the list into a local Albertsons, where she picked up such everyday fare as tomatoes, Lunchables, orange juice, milk, ham, chicken, popcorn, ginger ale and bread. Unlike most shoppers, however, Spears, who was sporting stained gray sweatpants and a hoodie, was accompanied on the food run by a bodyguard.
