No matter where you stand on Courtney Love as a musician, you have to admit she can be kind of, well, mean sometimes. And that's putting it delicately. Her feud with Gwen started when the Hole front-woman mouthed off to Seventeen magazine about Gwen (pictured with singer Melissa Auf der Maur), saying: "Being famous is just like being in high school. But I'm not interested in being the cheerleader. I'm not interested in being Gwen Stefani. She's the cheerleader, and I'm out in the smoker shed." Gwen did not take kindly to that assessment, penning "Hollaback Girl" in response and firing back to NME, "Someone one time called me a cheerleader, negatively, and I've never been a cheerleader. So I was, like, 'OK, [screw] you. You want me to be a cheerleader? Well, I will be one then. And I'll rule the whole world, just you watch me.'" Not to be biased, but we kind of love it when someone puts Courtney in her place.
