Justin Bieber Gets Mad at Deposition When Asked About Ex-Girlfriend Selena Gomez
Angsty angry Biebs! Before he jetsetted to Texas to reunite with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber sat through a four-and-a-half hour deposition in Miami that looked like an emotional roller coaster. (The deposition that took place Friday, Feb. 7 was part of a suit in which his bodyguard is accused of allegedly beating up a photographer last June.)
Clips posted by TMZ on March 10 show the pop star, 20, expressing a range of emotions -- from contempt to anger to disregard. Bieber was clearly most affected when asked about Gomez.
"Do you know Selena Gomez?" the attorney asks Bieber in the deposition clip. "Yes," the pop star responds, slightly flinching at the sound of her name. "You've been dating her at some point in time?" the lawyer continues. Bieber closes his eyes and shakes his head as his lawyer lashes back, "What's relevant to that -- why are you asking that question?"
"Because I'm allowed to," the opposing lawyer responds. Bieber, meanwhile, sits with his hand to his chin looking thoroughly annoyed as his lawyer retorts, "Sounds like you're harassing him."
"Sir, have you ever talked with Selena Gomez and discussed your feelings about paparazzi," the lawyer prods.
"Don't ask me about her again," says Bieber, as he repeats the same phrase at least six times. His defense team then asks to take a break noting the escalating tension. As previously reported, Bieber flew down to Texas on Feb. 7 following his deposition to reunite with his ex-girlfriend.
Other key moments from the deposition include Bieber scoffing in response to certain questions, closing his eyes in frustration, and calling the opposing party's lawyer "Katie Couric." The most amusing moment arguably goes down at the 11:18 a.m. mark, when Bieber Is asked if he knows "Raymond Usher IV." The "Somebody to Love" crooner makes a confused face and says, "No."
He's then asked if he knows an individual by the name of Usher, to which he responds, "Yeah, that sounds familiar."
Bieber's responses have received plenty of negative attention online. But he's not done defending himself. "Love how some people love to twist and justify the horrible action of others. We all have a right to defend ourselves and feel harassed," he tweeted on Monday. "They can't break us. They can't get us down. We are too strong. We love too much. #mybeliebers."
