On Oct. 25, 1984, two Christian ministers welcomed their second child, Katheryn Elizabeth, in Santa Barbara, Calif. "I didn't have a childhood," Katy told Vanity Fair in 2011 of her strict religious upbringing. According to the singer, she wasn't allowed to read anything other than the Bible, listen to non-Christian music or use phrases that included the word "devil," like "deviled eggs" or "Dirt Devil." She wasn't even allowed to watch the first "Sister Act" movie because one of the characters is a prostitute.
