Lady Gaga wears birth certificate of late aunt as necklace
Pop star Lady Gaga pays tribute to an aunt she never met by praying to her before concerts and wearing a special necklace in her memory.
Her father's sister, Joanne, died before the singer was born, but Gaga continues to honor her late relative.
Speaking on U.S. talk show The View on Monday, Lady gaga says, "My dad's sister Joanne died when she was 19. I wear a birth certificate of hers around my neck. She died of Lupus. I just feel very close to her.
"I actually pray to her (before every concert). And the whole cast goes, 'Joanne.' She died so young and she didn't get to live out the rest of her life, so I'm living it out for her."
