Selena, Demi, Miley and more talk about making a difference in Seventeen's Girl Power Issue
By Chris Gardner
You don't have too look far or wide in Hollywood to find an influential woman under the age of 21. In fact, Seventeen magazine has already done the research for you. The mag is toasting its 70th anniversary in March with the first-ever Girl Power issue, featuring young ladies who've made their mark before turning 21.
The issue also includes a special Girl Power List that ranks 17 of Tinseltown's most powerful girls 21 and under. We picked 10 famous faces who made the cut in Seventeen to show you here. For the full list, check out Seventeen.
The Mogul: Selena Gomez
"This year is when I really started feeling powerful. I had always been the underdog secretly. I was on Disney when it was Miley [Cyrus], the Jonas Brothers, and Demi [Lovato]. I questioned the way I looked, acted, sang, and wrote. Then I turned 20, went through a really bad breakup, and realized I needed to have 'Come & Get It' be amazing. I wanted it all to be me. I'm glad it's taken me this long to get where I am because now I am ready for it."
