'Game of Thrones' star Peter Dinklage on sex symbol status: 'I take it with a grain of salt'
At 4 feet 5 inches tall, Tyrion Lannister isn't your average lothario -- but he's not your average warrior, either. In fact, after a few episodes of "Game of Thrones," it gets hard to compare the number of people he's killed to the number of women he's bedded. Whatever the sum, though, one thing is clear: With the show's success, actor Peter Dinklage has become a sex symbol in his own right. Just don't expect him to buy it.
Playboy recently asked Dinklage, 43, if he's aware of his sex symbol status. "'Honestly, I think there's an irony in all of this," he said. "I take it with a grain of salt. They'll say, 'Oh, he's sexy,' but women still go for guys who are six-foot-two. It's nice that people are thinking outside the box, but I don't believe any of it for a minute." Nor does he need to: Dinklage has been happily married to director Erica Schmidt for eight years.
