"Devastated" by last weekend's disorderly conduct arrest, Reese Witherspoon has wrapped up her promotional obligations for "Mud" on the East Coast and is back in Los Angeles, a source tells E! News. "She is trying to lay low and spend time with her family," says the insider, adding that "It's going to take her a long time to get over, and she knows she let her family down." Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth, are due back near the scene of their alleged crimes (he's been charged with a DUI) on May 22 and 23.
"I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior," Witherspoon said in a formal apology after the incident.
