Miley Cyrus' VMA performance has Adam Lambert and Paula Patton's support
… At least in theory. "Listen if it wasn't ur cup of tea – all good but why is everyone spazzing? Hey – she's doin something right. We all talkin," Lambert tweeted on Monday. But the "American Idol" alumnus later clarified his comments, pointing out that he wasn't necessarily a fan of her racy Robin Thicke collaboration, he just thought she deserved some props for taking a risk. "I didn't actually state whether or not I liked @MileyCyrus performance. I merely said she was having fun and to cut her some slack," he noted.
As for reports that Thicke's wife, Paula Patton, was offended by Miley's suggestive moves around her husband, TMZ reports that in fact, Patton was cool with the whole thing.
Meanwhile, People reports that the Parents Television Council thinks "heads should roll" over the debacle. "MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?" the group said in a statement.
Not that Miley herself seems to care; as Twitter erupted with commentary over the 20-year-old's onstage twerkin' antics, she got busy online herself -- posting a pair of booty-centric selfies.
