Will and Kate's Stork News May Be a Relief to Prince Harry
The youngest of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' sons is toiling away with the British army in Afghanistan these days, but it wasn't too long ago that he developed his reputation as the Palace's resident wild child. That's why royal watchers now suspect that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby news might be a boon for Harry in more ways than one. Sure, he'll be an uncle when his sister-in-law, Duchess Kate, gives birth. He'll also be less likely to be burdened with the throne. The arrival of a son or daughter for Kate and Harry's brother, Prince William, means a change in the line of succession to Queen Elizabeth's throne. Previously, the crown would have gone first to Prince Charles, then to Will, then to Harry. Now, however, the royal baby-to-be inherits the throne after dad, William, and bumps uncle Harry to No. 3. Which means Harry may get his fill of trips to Vegas and dates with models and singers. (People)
