Sienna Miller Poses Naked and Pregnant for Painting
Despite all those movies, it's starting to seem like Demi Moore's most lasting impression on arts and culture will be her trend-setting, naked and pregnant August 1991 Vanity Fair cover. The latest evidence? A new gallery exhibition in Berlin features works by Jonathan Yeo that he says "document patients undergoing cosmetic surgery in a bid to help them conform to societal notions of beauty." In contrast, he also included this image (pixelated here to protect your innocent eyes) of a pregnant Sienna Miller in the buff, which she posed for prior to the birth of her daughter, Marlowe.
Explaining that the portrait epitomizes the human body in its most naturally beautiful state," Yeo noted that since Moore's famous magazine cover, "society has become … desensitized" to plastic surgery, while remaining "uncomfortable [with] ... images of naked expectant mothers." Titled "(I've Got You) Under My Skin," the solo exhibition opens this week at Berlin's Circleculture Gallery. (GossipCop)
