SJP on Election: I’m Concerned for the Middle Class
As one of the wealthiest people in America, Sarah Jessica Parker knows that Mitt Romney's financial policies would favor her, but, as she told Billy Bush on "Access Hollywood" this week, SJP cares more about women's rights and same-sex couples' right to marry than she does about her already secure bank account. That's why she's voting for Obama. "I am concerned about people in this country who've been trying to carve out a middle class existence," said Parker in one of her multiple recent public appearances in which she spoke out on behalf of the president. "I'm talking about our veterans, I'm talking about our senior citizens, and I'm talking about children who are living below the poverty line." She added that if Romney wins, she won't leave the country, because she believes equality is worth fighting for. (Jezebel)
