Twitter Wars: Lily Allen vs. Perez Hilton

Wonderwall, Tuesday, February 17, 2009, 11:40am (PST)
  • In what amounts to the online equivalent of pigtail-pulling, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton picked a Twitter fight with pop star Lily Allen last night. The drama began when Hilton asked his followers to support the idea of Allen casting him in her new music video. Clearly, the "It's Not Me, It's You" singer didn't like that idea. Check out their Twitter transcript below.

Allen: Oh, I'm sorry, we've already cast the jealous and bitter lonely old queen role. Next time eh?

Hilton: Jealous of who? David Beckham, maybe. And if I wanted to be a f***** up Brit, I'd rather be Amy Winehouse - whose got talent.

Allen: God, you're like so obsessed with me its embarrassing.

Hilton: Congrats on your album doing well in America, though. It's REALLY HARD to sell copies when u discount it to $3.99. Desperate!

Allen: It's also number one everywhere else in the world douchebag. Go away you little parasite.

Hilton: Aw, u can see I've lost weight! I am a littler Perez. But I'm still a big fat c*** - just like U! That's why I lova ya. xoxo

Hilton: P.S. Thanks for advertising on my website. I'll take your money (or the label's) anytime!

Allen: I know you will, and that's what makes you a cheap ass whore. Now leave me alone, stop following me, I'm working. Bye xx

Hilton: It's not fair and I think you're really mean! You're supposed to care! It's not fair and it's really not ok.

Like most bullying cases, cyber or otherwise, Perez was just trying to get a reaction out of Lily - and he obviously succeeded. We don't blame the Brit songbird for defending herself, but maybe, just maybe, she ought to try a little thing called IGNORING him. This is not the first Twitter altercation these two very mature individuals have gotten into in the past week. We know they enjoy the attention - and mutual self-promotion - but the war of words thing is old news, kids.

Next time, take it to the ring, WWE SmackDown-style, or we're not biting.
