Alicia Keys' husband Swizz Beatz is lot lighter in the wallet this week after forking over more than $650,000 to the IRS, money he owed in back taxes.
According to the Daily Mail, the producer, real name Kasseem Dean, owed for three different years. He owed $283,561.46 for 2009; he owed $88,662.94 for 2014; and he owed $283,561.46 for 2015.
Last week the IRS acknowledged that payment was made and it released the three liens against Alicia's man.
This is hardly the first time that Swizz has been at odds with the IRS. In 2012, documents showed that he owed over $2.6 million in federal taxes. At the time, he said that report was "ridiculous." He also reportedly owed $100,000 to New York City, to which he compared that fine to the price of cross-country flight.
"That would be ridiculous if I owed $100,000 in taxes," he told BET. "That's a flight from L.A. to New York. And if I can't do that, then I'm doing the wrong thing."
Swizz is hardly poor. Forbes estimated that he made $10.5 million this year.
Still, he can't escape money issues. The Daily Mail reports that he is currently being sued for $42 million for luxury car fraud. Metro Gem Leasing and Funding alleges that it lent McLarens, Bentleys, Porsches and Ferraris to the producer, but claim that he and a friend allegedly released the vehicles to other people at a higher price.
Swizz and Alicia tied the knot in July 2010 after two years of dating. They have two children together -- Egypt Daoud Dean, 6, and Genesis Ali Dean, 1.
