It's an all out social media war between Kim Kardashian West and Bette Midler.

The legitimate feud is as entertaining as it is unlikely with Bette now blasting Kim's sense of humor.

The whole thing started after Kim posted a naked selfie of herself on March 7. Bette (and several others) decided to chime in with a dig against the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star.

"Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera," Bette tweeted about Kim's photo that had been taken a year prior.

Kim countered, "hey @BetteMidler I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding." She also posted a Valentine's Day candy heart with the words "send nudes" on it.

She wasn't done either.

"Hey @BetteMidler I really didn't want to bring up how you sent me a gift awhile back trying to be a fake friend then come at me #dejavu," Kim wrote.

It turns out Bette gifted Kim with a tree several years ago, one she planted in Kim's honor as part of Bette's New York Restoration Project.

TMZ says, Bette dedicated one of the trees to Kim when she launched her MillionTreesNYC initiative in 2007 -- and even sent Kim a handwritten note.

Kim, at the time, believed the gesture was heartfelt and genuine. That was until she posted the nude selfie and Bette turned it into a punchline.

After Kim's jab back at her now nemesis, Bette headed to Twitter to clear the air and dig back.

"I never tried to fake friend you," she wrote on March 8. "Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke."

Kim was put on the defensive with several other celebrities about the naked selfie, too. Piers Morgan and Chloe Moretz also came down on her. Kim fired back at them, as well, but Bette was clearly more in Kim's bullseye.

An hour after tweeting her disdain for Piers, Chloe and Bette, Kim posted another naked selfie. She captioned it, "#Liberated."

Twitter feuds... It must run in the family.
