You could say Beyonce won Super Bowl 50.
The 34-year-old singer stole the halftime show with her custom military-inspired DSquared2 ensemble that reminded us all of the style Michael Jackson wore for his Super Bowl halftime performance in 1993.
Both Beyonce and Michael were performance commanders with gold metal military details that formed an "X" in the front. Bey's style was a modern twist that included a black leather jacket, a high cut leotard and fishnets with what looked like a black garter.
"We love Beyonce and wanted to create something where she resembles a warrior leading her female posse who fall into formation and take Super Bowl 50 at half-time," DSquared2's designers said in a release.
With her killer dance moves, it was also hard not to notice her black and gold studded Christian Louboutin ankle boots.
But it was not just Beyonce who wore high-fashion for halftime.
Bruno Mars and his 11-piece band were Versace clad in black leather shirts with gold embellishments on the cuffs and black trousers. They even had gold chains and looked like they were channeling New York City rap trio Run-D.M.C.
Halftime was not all about channeling other musicians though!
Bruno and Beyonce teamed up with Coldplay for an energetic show, and they performed a version of "Uptown Funk" that has never sounded so good.
After the buzz over her performance with Bruno and Chris Martin, Beyonce managed to create even more news by announcing that she's going on a world tour.
"The Formation World Tour" launches April 27 in Miami and will stop in cities throughout North America, including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas through mid-June. It will then run in Europe and wrap in Brussels on July 31.
The tour is named after Beyonce's new single, "Formation," which she dropped on Saturday, just one day before she performed it during the Super Bowl.
"Formation" is currently available on her husband Jay Z's Tidal service.
And if you want to see her on the tour, you might want to consider becoming a Beyhive fan club member for a pre-sale ticket. Beyhive fan club members can purchase tickets on Feb. 9, and tickets for the general public will go on sale on Feb. 16.
