"If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would."

That's how Blake Lively responded two years ago when Marie Claire asked if she still wanted to have 30 children someday, as she'd once said.

And now, it looks like baby two could very well be on the way! Us Weekly and People are reporting that Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their second child. Neither party has confirmed the news with an official statement, yet.

The "Gossip Girl" veteran and Ryan started building their family at the end of 2014, when they welcomed their daughter, James.

On April 12, Blake showed up for reshoots on the set of her surfer thriller "The Shallows" wearing a baggy gray robe over her blue wetsuit. She eventually removed the cover-up -- but quickly tied the robe's arms above her waist as if she were hiding something.

Later, she held a prop surfboard in front of her belly, and at one point, she covered her bikini with a chambray shirt and the robe, all of which prompted more questions.

The fact Blake skipped this past weekend's MTV Movie Awards, where her hubby scored two trophies (and made one silly joke about his and Blake's sex life), has raised eyebrows as well.

Blake, 28, married her 39-year-old "Deadpool" star beau back in 2012, less than two years after Ryan split from Scarlett Johansson. Since then, both Blake and Ryan have expressed interest in having more than a few children on multiple occasions.

"We'd love to have a big family, Ryan told Details in 2013. "We both come from big families -- my parents did four, Blake's did five. A lot of people say it's crazy, but we'll only know when we're there, you know? We'll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think."

Blake echoed that sentiment after their daughter was born, telling People, "I'm looking forward to how one baby influences the other, and to my family as a whole, to every single chapter."

In the meantime, Blake and Ryan and staying busy with work. Ryan's next film, the crime drama "Criminal," is due out later this year and a sequel to "Deadpool" has already been announced.

Blake has two films slated for 2016 release In addition to "The Shallows," Woody Allen's "Café Society," and the thriller, "All I See Is You."
