Justin Bieber burst onto the pop music scene in 2009 and he was seemingly everywhere. Someone forgot to tell Britney Spears.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday, the "Make Me" singer was asked about The Biebs and she recalled a hilarious story about their first encounter, a very confusing encounter for her.

"I met him probably three years ago, and he walked into my hotel room, and he was a kid. Literally, he looked like he was 13 years old but he was 16," she said. "And I was like, 'Who is this kid in my hotel? What is going on?'"

Justin, she said, was with his mom, Pattie Mallette.

"His mom was like, 'Is there a suntanning bed located here?' And I'm like, 'Who are these people?'"

Britney's assistant broke the news to her that that "kid" was actually Justin, a superstar in his own right, even at that time.

"I was like, 'Oh, my God,' I cannot believe this," she told host Scott Mills. "He's very unassuming. He's a very, very nice, kind boy. He's obviously way older now but he was extremely kind."

Britney hasn't exactly caught Bieber fever, per se, but she says she does see him an awful lot now -- Maybe she's seen too much of him, actually. Earlier this month, Justin set the Internet on fire (again) after photos turned up of him skinny dipping with a few models in Hawaii.

"Did you see what happened to him the other day?" she asked the radio host. "Like, didn't he expose himself? That was insane! I don't understand what went on there."

Last year, naked photos of Bieber, who's a bit of an exhibitionist, went viral while he vacationed in Bora Bora.

"My first thing was like … how can they do this? Like I feel super violated," he told Access Hollywood at the time. "Like, I feel like I can't step outside and feel like I can go outside naked. Like you should feel comfortable in your own space … especially that far away."

The hunky hitmaker, whose manhood was commented on by more than a few looky loos, also took the opportunity to clarify, "That was shrinkage for me."
