Well, that was unexpected!
Christie Brinkley used a garden hose to spray down a woman who was trying to urinate on a beach next to the supermodel's home, reports the New York Post's Page Six.
The whole thing went down around 10 p.m. on July 2 in the Hamptons on New York's Long Island when hairdresser Erica Remkus, 36, squatted down on the rocks and sand at Sag Harbor Cove, she told the Post.
"'What are you doing?! You can't pee in front of my house! You have to go away. You're standing on my rocks. You can't pee on my rocks. I walk there!'" she said Christie, 62, screamed at her.
Erica, who didn't recognize the model at first, told Christie that the beach was public property. "These are not your rocks," she told the Post she shouted back. This is not your beach... You don't own it."
That's when Christie turned on her hose, blasting Erica from about 30 feet away, police told the Post.
"I threw my glow stick necklaces at her..... And then I peed," Erica later wrote on Facebook, according to MailOnline.
"I would not have peed if she didn't spray me," Erica told the Post. "After that, I kind of had to."
"I'm sorry but I had 3 kids and have zero bladder control," she later explained on Facebook.
Christie called the cops who spoke to Erica but declined to cite her.
Apparently officers don't usually press charges unless they witness the act -- although the Post reports that Christie used her cellphone to record Erica relieving herself on the beach.
On July 4, Christie took to Instagram to respond publicly with a lengthy post. "I know it's Independence Day but that does not mean 'free to pee' in front of my guests and me at my fireworks gathering. Maybe the trespasser should celebrate 'Depends Day' as she apparently thinks she lives in 'The Land of the Pee,' as I was forced to hose down her mess after she urinated in my yard all the while throwing things at me," Christie wrote.
She added: "My wish for everyone on this Fourth of July is...May you live in the Land of the Free from belligerent drunken stalkers with weak bladders and foul mouths. (that's not too much to ask right ?) Peace! I'll raise my glass of Bellissima Prosecco to that...Cheers Happy 4th to everyone! @nypost @dailymail @nydailynews #pagesix @mirrorjohn.co.uk @globalheadlines.uk @scoopnest @breakingnewsheadlines24 @googlenews ✌🏼️🇺🇸 P.S. #iamalocal #30yearsinthehamptons #raised3kidshere."
Christie's house, an 1843 Greek Revival waterfront property, was listed in 2010 for $15.75 million, according to MailOnline. It's one of several Hamptons properties in her real estate portfolio.
