David Beckham is making Instagram great again.
The soccer stud stripped down to his skivvies on Thursday to participate in the 22 Push Up Challenge that so many celebrities are taking part in. But, The Becks decided to do his in his underwear on top of a piano in hotel room... not that we're complaining.
"As you can see, I'm 79 floors up. I'm lying on piano and I thought I'd bring a pianist with me," he said after completing the challenge. "I thought you'd like it. I thought you'd find it romantic."
A day prior, he did his pushups on an airplane.
"So my lovely friend Mr Guy Richie [sic] the film maker and supreme athlete has nominated me to do 22 press ups consecutively for 22 days (and by the way his challenge was that I do my first lot at 44,000 feet as he knows I'm travelling)," David said in the Instagram video.
He continued, "This isn't one of his daily routines where he likes to teach u a lesson and beat you, it's for a very good reason...22 service men kill themselves post conflict...22 a day, basically one an hour. So I am doing what Guy R, Jason S and Charlie H are doing and supporting, respecting and appreciating all the service men and women and their sacrifice...we shine a light to support and help save lives."
Since mid August, participants have been completing 22 push ups to symbolize and raise awareness for the number of veterans who commit suicide every day. It's been dubbed the 22 Push-Up Challenge and it was launched by #22Kill. Much like other social media challenges, you can nominated someone to take part once you do it.
Many celebs are getting creative with their videos. (Ludacris did his during a concert!) David did his nearly naked on top of a piano as a pianist played music. Bottles and glasses of wine sit on top of the piano.
On Friday, he was (unfortunately) fully clothed for his 22 push ups.
"I won't be posting these everyday so as not to clutter your feed but trust that I will be doing them and you will see the evidence," he said. "This cause is too important to me...."
