"He has a restraining order against me now," Stone joked with E! News on Nov. 10. "I'm just going to have to stay like a hundred feet at everything else we do together. No, it's so much fun to work with him [but] I don't know if they'll let us do anything."
The duo has starred in "Crazy, Stupid, Love," "Gangster Squad," and mostly recently "La La Land," in which she plays an aspiring actress who falls for a jazz musician played by Ryan.
In the past, they've both praised each other and lauded about working with one another.
"We made two films together and now three, and so you know it's great to work with people you know," he previously told E! "I think it brings the best out of them because you know one another, and you are able to help each other in a way that you can't if you're strangers."
Further, the Canadian-born actor joked with People magazine about his on-screen partner, saying, "I like working with Emma because I think she's secretly Canadian. That's why we get along so well - she's wildly apologetic for no reason."
"Sorry about that," she quipped upon hearing this.
These two clearly have a love and respect for each other and have serious on-screen chemistry, but that doesn't mean they won't hilariously jab at the other when given a chance ... all in good fun, of course.
While speaking to Warner Brothers about starring with Ryan in "Crazy, Stupid, Love," Emma joked, "It was the worst. He can't act and he doesn't have that face, which is a real bummer, and we didn't have any fun at all. There was a lot of crying and a lot of physical violence toward each other. Needless to say, I struggled through the whole process, but I came out stronger for it and now here I sit, with a restraining order against him in the other room."
Please, can we get one more movie from you two!?
