Gwen and Gavin, who were married nearly 13 years, united for an "emotional" meeting to discuss their custody situation and the role Blake will play in their children's lives. The former couple currently share custody of their three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7 and Apollo, 2.
The magazine's source shared that Gavin's biggest problem with the budding romance between the "Voice" coaches is the impression it's leaving on their kids. Blake has really bonded with the Rossdale boys since he started dating Gwen back in October 2015, which doesn't sit well with Gavin.
According to the magazine's source, the Bush frontman "wants to be consulted on everything concerning the kids and the role that Blake is playing in their lives."
For Blake's part, the feeling isn't mutual. The country crooner isn't looking to seek a relationship with his new love's ex-husband, and the source shared he "has nothing to do with Gavin."
Blake, who divorced fellow country star Miranda Lambert back in July 2015, has a hard time coming to terms with how Gavin treated Gwen. The rocker couple ultimately split due to Gavin's inappropriate relationship with their children's nanny, Mindy Mann.
That affair led to the longtime couple's divorce, which Gwen took hard. The "Used to Love You" singer told Carson Daly back in November 2015, "My life basically blew up in my face."
Nowadays her life has been put back together with the help of new love Blake. The two have been very open about their newfound love and happiness over the last eight months, from red carpet appearances to performing duets on their show "The Voice." But despite finding love and making music together, Blake doesn't share Gwen's desire to play nice with Gavin.
Blake just "can't" forgive someone who treated his lady that way," according to Us Weekly's source.
As for Gwen's status with Miranda? That remains a mystery.
