Baby on board. "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Meghan King Edmonds and her husband, retired Major League Baseball stud Jim Edmonds, are expecting a baby girl.

Several people suspected that the reality star could be pregnant when she attended a party to celebrate the season's premiere last week and sported what appeared to be a small bump.

She confirmed the suspicion on Monday on Instagram, while sharing an image of her cradling her bump with one hand, and holding Jim's hand with the other. The two appear elated with the news in the image.

"We're expecting a perfect little bundle of sugar and spice and everything nice!," she captioned the image, which she shared with her 240,000 followers. "Jimmy and I are over the moon! We are thrilled to bring our daughter into our perfectly imperfect blended family in time for the holidays!"

She also updated her profile photo with an image of her cradling her bump.

For loyal "Housewives" watchers, the news of the pregnancy is a bit of a spoiler. During the upcoming season, much will be made of Meghan's struggle to get pregnant and the storyline will feature her undergoing fertility treatments.

"I'm so over the moon, I couldn't believe it the first time I peed on a stick and I saw that little line kind of get a little darker," she told People magazine. "I've always dreamed of this, but it's still such a miracle. I can't even describe the feeling.

"We went through IVF and fortunately we got pregnant the first time," she said. "It was just such a long process with the IVF, step by step by step with so much information."

This will be Meghan's first child and Jim's fifth.

Aside from expanding the family, Meghan said she's excited for one more pregnancy perk.

"I finally have a bum!" she joked. "For the first time in my life I can twerk."
