Superstar Jennifer Lopez is still a hopeless romantic.
Although she survived three divorces, the triple threat performer hasn't ruled out the idea of getting married again. She's in a stable, happy relationship with on-again boyfriend Casper Smart and says she would consider making their union more permanent.
"We got together and broke up and are now together again," the "Shades of Blue" star opened up to W Magazine for its May cover story. "I still think about getting married and having that long life with someone," she says. "I love the movie "The Notebook." A dream of mine is to grow old with someone."
It's not like Jennifer started feeling this way overnight. After the breakup of her third marriage, to singer Marc Anthony, she went through a pretty dark phase.
"With personal failures, I have thought, 'This is too hard,'" she told the magazine. "When my marriage ended, it was not easy to find forgiveness. It wasn't the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment and anger."
It was her young children, twins Max and Emme, 8, who helped Lopez get her head right. She says she worked "to make things right." JLo added, "Marc is the father of my children, and that's never going away."
You know what else isn't going away? J Lo's superstar status. And that's because the singer, who currently has a residency in Las Vegas, refuses to slow down.
"I do have trouble saying no," she says. "It's hard for me not to imagine doing everything I am asked to do."
The reason for her tireless work ethic has something to do with how she's perceived, according to the star. "People may now think I'm 'nice,' but they still act surprised when I'm smart. It's a man's world ... I feel like I'm constantly having to prove myself," she says. "Women have to do something remarkable over and over and over. People underestimate me ... it's fun to prove them wrong."
