The black-and-white photo features a close up of the former "Dawson's Creek" star's face, complete with dark circles, blemished face and unkempt hair. And while she clearly does not look picture perfect, we think she looks beautiful as is!

While many celebs push an an unrealistic standard of beauty on Instagram, with the help of Photoshop, contouring and some intense lighting, candid photos like these remind the world that not every actress looks perfect all day every day. Nor should they!

Keep it up, Katie! Oh and while you're at it ... could you thrown in some snaps with that rumored man of yours, Jamie Foxx?!

When she isn't keeping it real on the 'gram, the 37-year-old is filming the miniseries "The Kennedys: After Camelot," in which she will reprise her role as Jackie O. Tom Cruise's ex wife is also set to make her directorial debut by directing an episode of the miniseries, entitled "All We Had."

Actress Judy Greer recently praised the brunette on her directing skills. She told People magazine, "She's amazing. She wasn't bossy, no ... I mean, she's bossy, don't get me wrong, but she was never bossy with me."

Jude went on to say, "I liked working for her a lot. It's fun to get immediate feedback from your friends about your performance. It's great! It's always fun to have someone come and see what you're doing from a different view. She's a great director."

Katie also previously admitted that she thought directing was "challenging but rewarding."

The directing newbie said, "I was actually on both sides [of the camera]. It was an undertaking, but the movie was produced by Jane Rosenthal and you couldn't ask for a better producer, so I felt very taken care of."

"It was very challenging! But very, very rewarding. Hopefully you just get better every time you do it. That's what I'm hoping for," added the actress.
