However, on Feb. 9, she finally stepped out into the limelight, showing off her post-baby body in New York.
Kim, along with her 2-year-old daughter North, was in the Big Apple to support husband Kanye West at his album listening party at Electric Lady Studios. The album is now titled T.L.O.P., which is its fourth title.
The 35-year-old reality TV queen, who said she's been doing the Atkins diet to shed her baby weight, showed off her body in a black tight-fitting jumpsuit that flaunted her curves.
In a night meant for Kanye, she may have stolen his thunder!
Kim, donning braids, kept the chill off of her with a black Celine fur coat, which hung off her shoulders.
Kanye, for his part, was all smiles as the couple and their daughter headed into the studio. Kim, though, guarded her belly a bit, primarily keeping her hands in front of her stomach as she headed into the party.
North, perhaps, taking style cues from her mom, donned all black, too, rocking a Thrasher hood and Vans shoes.
Kanye missed the all black everything memo, wearing a light gray hoodie, with a tie-dyed shirt underneath. He wore the hoodie over his head as he left the listening party, which was attended by only close friends and family. Kim was seen leading him an awaiting car as his vision was impaired by the hoodie.
The world will soon hear T.L.O.P as Kanye will debut it along with his clothing Yeezy Season 3 as part of New York Fashion Week on Feb. 11 in Madison Square Garden.
At MSG, Kim will make her first "official" public appearance and she plans to make the night all about her hubby.
"She will be wearing something from Kanye's new collection," a source tells Us Weekly, adding that "a lot of Kanye's ideas are inspired by Kim. He designs for Kim."
It wasn't all smiles for Kim on Feb. 9, though, as she took exception to a headline written about her New York appearance in the UK-based Daily Mail.
"So I'm reading The Daily Mail, which I love btw but this headline isn't cool. "Kim emerges from self imposed diet exile" REALLY?!," she tweeted. "Isn't it just called maternity leave? If coming to NYC support my husband & have so enjoyed my time at home with my babies & family."
"Certainly not in a self imposed diet exile. Thats ridic!" she continued tweeting. "I've brought my babies over friends/fam houses, parks & restaurants but because a picture wasn't taken it didn't happen & I'm in exile? smh."
She even made a joke that seems to hint at her husband's epic social media tirades.
"Those that rant together…," she wrote, implying that she and Kanye are meant to be together.
Apparently the ranting worked, too.
"Thank you The Daily Mail for changing your headline!," she tweeted an hour later. "I really do love your site!"
