Experiencing some ruff air! Just when you think Mariah Carey can't do anything else to prove she lives her life entirely different than the rest of us, she does the unthinkable by getting first class flights for her dogs.

Yes, even the diva's pooches don't fly coach.

The New York Post said that the songstress flew her two Jack Russell pups, Cha Cha and Jill E. Beans, first class on American Airlines from Aspen, Colo., to Los Angeles, and she wasn't even with them. The dogs flew in the "deluxe cabin" of the airliner.

"Mariah's dogs only fly first. But the two pets hate each other, so [they] have to be placed in separate kennels for the journey and travel with two separate members of her staff," a source said.

It costs about $2,000 per dog for the flight, the source added.

After touching down on land, the dogs have plenty of room to roam around, too. According to multiple media reports, Mariah and her new fiancé James Packer have rented a $250,000 per month, 18,000-square foot home in Calabasas, Calif., just down the street from several members of the Kardashian family.

Mariah, massive engagement ring and all, is in Los Angeles preparing to return to the stage of her Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace. After that, she's set to embark on an international tour. Naturally, the dogs usually go with her, so they're sure to be racking up a few thousand frequent flyer miles ... in luxury!

What the future holds for the newly engaged couple in regards to their living arrangement isn't known just yet. Since dating James, she's spent a chunk of time in Los Angeles.

"She's a New York girl by heart and loves living here," the Post's source said. "I'm curious to see if they'll spend half their time here and half their time there."

One thing not immediately on the horizon is a wedding, especially since Mariah is still technically married to her ex Nick Cannon, and James is still legally married to his ex. Besides, the source said, Mariah is "too busy with work to focus on wedding plans right now."
