"Glee" star Mark Salling has been indicted for possessing child pornography and will have to face off against the federal government.

A federal grand jury indicted the actor on two counts of child porn.

"Those who download and possess child pornography create a market that causes more children to be harmed," United States Attorney Eileen M. Decker said in a statement after the ruling was handed down. "Young victims are harmed every time an image is generated, every time it is distributed, and every time it is viewed."

Mark was arrested in late Decemeber and his laptop was seized. It allegedly contained thousands of images and videos of child porn.

Onn of the counts he's been indicted for stems from a flash drive which allegedly contained images involving a prepubescent minor and a minor under 12.

If convicted of receiving child porn, the actor faces a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum of 20 years in prison. On the charge of possessing child porn, he could receive 20 years.

At the time of his arrest, it was reported that an ex-girlfriend tipped off authorities. He was released on $20,000 bail.

Mark has been no stranger to the legal system. In 2013 he was sued by a woman who claimed he forced her to have sex without a condom. He denied the claim but settled the case.
