Rock god Mick Jagger posted a loving tribute to his late girlfriend L'Wren Scott on what would have been her 52nd birthday.
L'Wren can be seen posing in front of a sunset, holding a camera in her hand. Jagger, 72, captioned the beautiful image, "Remembering L'Wren on her birthday."
Fashion designer L'Wren's death on March 17, 2014 was ruled a suicide. Her body was found in her New York City apartment just one month shy of her 50th birthday. The couple had been together for 13 years. According to The Daily Mail, Jagger reportedly "suffered developed an acute traumatic stress disorder after losing his long-time partner and was forced to cancel $13 million worth of Rolling Stones shows in the wake of her death."
"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way," Mick posted on Facebook shortly after his girlfriend's body was discovered. "We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."
Before she died, L'Wren collaborated with Mick on stage costumes for The Stones. And the legend told the paper he now finds comfort in wearing clothes designed by L'Wren while performing. "I don't find it difficult emotionally to wear her clothes. In fact it's quite nice for me," he told The Mirror last month.
"I've got a big selection of her stuff and the wardrobe mistress goes nuts because I always want to bring them all on tour," Jagger added.
"At the end of the day I just pick them up and go, 'Ah that's one of L'Wrens....I like this one.'"
The Rolling Stones were overseas prepping for a concert tour in Australia when they got word of L'Wren's tragic death. Jagger immediately canceled the shows in order to make funeral arrangements and deal with his overwhelming loss.
