Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Smith are breathing a sigh of relief now that their son is back home from the hospital after a health scare.
Why 7-month-old Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr., known as SJ, was in the hospital to begin with isn't known. It's also not known how long he was there.
On Oct. 27, his mother shared a pic from a hospital in Santa Monica, California.
"You are so strong and such a fighter. Nothing is going to slow you down! Mommy and daddy are right here baby!" she said. "We aren't going to let anything happen to you!!! In this moment my son has proven to be stronger than me already. We love you so much Pooda! We Can't wait to take you home finally 🙏"
Things seem to be going well. On Oct. 28, Ne-Yo's wife shared a picture of SJ smiling at home. She also took to Instagram to gush about her man.
"Ain't no man like the one I got! It's super important to have a strong partner by your side When life throws you into the worst situation you could ever imagine yourself in," she said. "I thank God for this man! I could never have gotten through the past 48 without you! I love you and how much you love our beautiful family. NOT LUCKY JUST BLESSED."
The couple welcomed their little one in March after Crystal underwent an emergency C-section.
"It was the scariest delivery ever and I ended up getting a emergency C-section cause of complications but with the help of my amazing doctor @drsherryr and my super calming husband @neyo I was able to get through it all and come out with best reward in the world... SJ!!!!! #BestDayOfMyLife."
It's the first child for the couple, but Ne-Yo has two more children from a previous relationship.
