Richard Gere is finally legally single. After four years of court battles, the actor and Carey Lowell are finally divorced.
The New York Post reported on Tuesday that the deal was done in a Manhattan Supreme Court.
Details of the deal were not disclosed, but the duo was at odds through much of the process and often squabbled in court.
The actress filed for divorce in 2012 after 10 years of marriage. They share one child, son Homer, but a custody agreement was settled quickly. As for how to divide up assets and Richard's wealth, that took a lot longer.
Their battle was often played out in New York tabloids and sometimes his frustrations were seen in public. Page Six cited a moment in October 2014 in which Richard "jabbed his umbrella" at one of its photographers.
Richard, the paper said, "wearing meditation beads on his left wrist and carrying an orange canvas bag from a 2009 Tibetan prayer festival called the Kagyu Monlam - nastily wielded the pointy black umbrella like a sword."
The newspaper said that divorce papers cited their differing personalities as a problem -- Richard likes his privacy, while Carey, a former "Bond girl," likes to attends parties.
The 67-year-old "Pretty Woman" actor has certainly moved on. In mid 2014, he began dating Alejandra Silva, a woman 33 years younger than him. She's a Spanish socialite.
"Alejandra lives between Manhattan and Madrid and Richard has already been to see her a few times," a source said in June 2015. "They've managed to keep it hidden from the press but all their friends know."
In May, the duo packed on the PDA while attending the UEFA Champions League in Italy.
Some media outlets have estimated Richard's worth to be north of $200 million, while others have it much lower at around $45 million.
