Ron Lester passed away at the age of 45 on June 17.

TMZ first reported that the actor was in critical condition after spending four months in a Dallas hospital.

The celebrity news agency said that after Ron's health deteriorated on Friday, he asked to be taken off life support.

His fiance, Jennifer Worland, was by his side.

Ron Lester shot to fame for his role as Billy Bob in "Varsity Blues" in 1999 and went on to appear in movies like "Not Another Teen Movie" and TV shows like "CSI: New York."

The actor had famously struggled with his weight throughout his life. At one point he weighed over 500 pounds at his heaviest before losing nearly 350 pounds in 2001 after undergoing gastric bypass surgery.

It's unknown if his health complications had to do with his weight, but he was known to have kidney and liver problems.

Rest in peace, Ron Lester.
