Ruby Rose and her fiancée, clothing designer Phoebe Dahl, are calling it quits.
The couple got engaged after only dating three months, back in March 2014. They were open about their quick courtship, and the fact that Ruby fell for Phoebe while in a prior relationship.
"I thought, 'Oh my God, I need to marry her. Who is she?'" The "Orange is the New Black" actress once told Out magazine of Phoebe, explaining that it was love at first sight.
But two years later it appears that love at first sight burned out, as Phoebe released the following statement to Us Weekly on Dec. 14: 'After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have decided to part ways. While we still love each other and support each other in every way, it is our mutual decision to part ways. Our break is not the result of any media speculation, and we want nothing but the best for each other. Thank you for respecting our privacy in this very difficult time."
Phoebe's rep shared that the designer, who launched the clothing line Faircloth & Supply in 2014, recently moved out of Ruby's home in Silverlake, California.
For both parties it seems the split is amicable, as they took to social media to tweet positive messages.
Ruby wrote, "@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart. I will forever treasure our time together. I'm a better person because of all we shared."
While Phoebe, who also happens to be the granddaughter of famed author, Roald Dahl, tweeted, "@RubyRose you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us."
Hopefully the two will be able to remain friends after the split.
