Late-night genius Jimmy Fallon was a comedy devotee practically from birth. His kindergarten school photo was captioned “Most Likely To Take Over For Letterman.” He started performing standup when he was still in high school and eventually dropped out of college to pursue his quest for laughter full-time in Los Angeles. In the late ‘90s, he returned to NY and fulfilled his lifelong dream of auditioning for “Saturday Night Live,” which obviously went well as he joined the cast in 1998. He was known for impressions of Robert DeNiro, John Lennon, and Mick Jagger as well as co-hosting “Weekend Update” with Tina Fey. He announced he was leaving the series in 2004 to transition to film, a move of mixed results as “Taxi,” “Fever Pitch” and “Factory Girl” all had tepid box office sales and reviews. His first late-night hosting gig debuted in March 2009 and his boyish charm, musical spoofs, and celebrity competitions/stunts won viewers over. He took over “The Tonight Show” from Jay Leno in February 2014. The show tapings were moved to New York where Fallon lives with his wife, producer Nancy Juvonen (m. December 2007), and his daughter Winnie Rose (b. July 2013).
