Betty White turns down Military Ball invite
Actress Betty White has turned down the chance to be a Marine's date at an upcoming ball, because she'll be working.
Sgt. Ray Lewis became the latest military man to invite a celebrity as a date after asking the aging "Golden Girl"s star to the Marine Corps Ball in November in a video posted online over the weekend.
But, unlike Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, who have accepted invites to attend separate military events, White has politely declined.

In a statement, the 89-year-old writes, "I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation. As everyone knows, I love a man in uniform ... but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of (TV show) 'Hot in Cleveland.'"
