Ed O'Neill Slams Jane Lynch of 'Glee'
TV veteran Ed O'Neill, who currently stars on "Modern Family," has some harsh words for Jane Lynch, the Emmy-winning star of "Glee."
"I love Jane, honestly I do," O'Neill, 64, explains to TV Guide. "But I don't think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part."
Lynch, 50, nabbed this year's Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award as Sue Sylvester, the tough-talking cheerleader coach. "(Sue Sylvester) is just a one-note character," O'Neill sniffs.
O'Neill thinks the Emmy should have gone instead to Sofia Vergara, his onscreen wife in "Modern Family." "Sofia is just so, so funny," he said.
"I don't think people realize how hilarious she is," he raves of the actress, 38. "She's so sharp with her wit, it's amazing."
