After six months of togetherness, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have settled into a nice little domestic routine. Over the weekend in Los Angeles, they were photographed getting touchy-feely while walking his dog and strolling side by side after a foot massage a deux.
"They were quiet and didn't speak much," a spa snitch tells People. "They were tired and enjoyed the massages. They were very nice."
Perhaps the tootsie kneading was an attempt to de-stress amid rumblings of foot-dragging in Kutcher's drawn-out divorce from Demi Moore, whose supposed "struggle to heal" post-split tops the latest issue of People magazine.
The exes, whose six-year marriage imploded in November 2011 after he allegedly two-timed her with a nubile blonde, "are still locked in a fierce private battle" over how to divvy up their moolah, according to the New York Post.
They "are trying to negotiate a settlement out of court and out of the public eye," explains a source. "They still haven't reached an agreement over money, because Ashton earned substantially more during the final years of their marriage, but he doesn't want to pay a large settlement."
Kutcher was recently named the highest-paid actor on television, earning $24 million in 2011 (and proving once again that the universe has a warped sense of humor).
"Attorneys take a long time," a source adds to People. "[Demi] is not stalling that process at all."
Another insider maintains that Ashton hasn't wanted to force the issue "amidst all of Demi's personal crises." Still, if a private resolution isn't reached, "the discussion could boil over into a public court battle," warns a Post spy.
Moore, who turns 50 on Nov. 11, put her troubles aside last week for a good cause. On Oct. 17, she stepped out at a New York benefit for GEMS, a charity that aids victims of sexual trafficking.
As for Ashton, 34, and Mila, 28, "They have been relaxing at home, taking walks around the neighborhood and working out," an insider tells People. "They have both seemed a bit tired from their intense work schedules."
