Has playing a covert married couple on the small screen led to a real-life romance for Keri Russell and her "Americans" leading man, Matthew Rhys? The New York Postsuspects the TV spies may be an item in the wake of the actress' recent split from her husband of almost seven years, contractor Shane Deary.
Russell, 37, and Rhys, 39, were apparently spotted "looking affectionate" during a recent "intimate lunch" meet-up in New York, where they're currently filming the second season of the critically acclaimed FX series.
"Seeing the way they are together, I could have sworn they were a couple," relays a bystander. "They were so touchy-feely, drinking and laughing."
The former "Felicity" star was also spied strolling with Rhys in her Brooklyn neighborhood a few days before Christmas.
"They looked very much like a couple," an eyewitness tells People mag. "They were laughing and walking closely together."
Their reps have yet to respond to the romance rumblings.
Russell reportedly parted with Deary over the summer, but she didn't confirm the bust-up until earlier this month. They have two children, 6-year-old son River and 2-year-old daughter Willa.
