A single unflattering pair of pants has landed Kim Kardashian on the cover of two tabloids this week -- and she's not happy about it.
"Kim's body crisis," screams OK! magazine. "Kim spends $500,000 on cosmetic procedures." Among the mag's claims: The future Mrs. Kanye West is getting "constant fat injections" in her fanny, an accusation it helpfully illustrates by aiming a yellow arrow at her cheeks.
In Touch, meanwhile, has this humdinger on its cover: "Kim's Diet Disaster: My Butt Won't Stop Growing!" Which makes it sound as though Kim's caboose is undergoing some sort of Hulk-like transformation.
This is what the tab had to say about the buff-colored pants Kardashian recently wore: "Her world-famous backside strained to escape the confines of her trousers while the universally dreaded muffin top poked over the top."
A new low? Possibly.
"She wants to be famous for having a great butt -- not a scary one," says a source (who really should be ashamed).
Kim responded to the cover stories on Wednesday afternoon by pointing out she's perfectly happy with her body and reminding the tabs of the harm they can do to impressionable youths.
"I'm seeing all these nonsense tabloids claiming I have butt implants -- injections. Get a life! Using pics of me 15lbs skinnier (before I had my baby) comparing to me now!" tweets Kim, who gave birth to North in June 2013. "I still have weight to lose. Anyone who has had a baby knows how hard it is to lose weight (especially the last bit of weight) & your body totally changes! Making fun of me pregnant & making fun of me trying to lose weight now shame on you."
She also points out that OK! changed the colors of her cover outfit, musing, "BTW tabloid...please don't Photoshop my clothes! If they Photoshop my clothes who knows what else they tweak."
Concludes Kardashian, "I'm not perfect but I will never conform to your skinny standards sorry! Not me. And BTW I've lost a lot so far & I'm proud of that! Don't give young girls a complex!"
