What's a teenage girl to do when her parents are in the midst of a high profile split? Hit the town, of course. Kylie and Kendall Jenner put the problems of parents Kris and Bruce on the backburner Tuesday night when they turned up at a Los Angeles club with sister Khloe Kardashian and would-be brother-in-law Scott Disick.
But their visit to the 21-and-over Vignette didn't go over so well, says TMZ. For one thing, Kylie and Kendall are 16 and 17, respectively. For another, they were there on a night when the hot spot hosts what it bills as "a new, voyeuristic, hip-hop and nudity nightclub experience."
The club alleges that the girls showed fake IDs at the door to get in, and their presence has apparently caught the attention of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
Naturally, Kylie and Kendall's mom disputes the implication that her offspring did anything illegal, insisting to E! News that it's all a "big misunderstanding" stemming from a moneymaking venture.
Seems the teens had been told that Vignette was holding a private afterparty for the fashion show they'd attended with Disick earlier in the evening. According to Kris, Kylie and Kendall were brought in through a back door, and no one asked for ID.
"Khloé would never bring them to a club," says Kris. "The girls thought they were walking into a private event that they were paid to attend as part of a personal appearance as part of a fashion show afterparty."
She adds for good measure, "The girls don't possess or own a fake ID."
As for a photo of Kylie and Kendall looking slightly worse for wear after their night out, their mom scoffs at talk they were tipsy. Kris contends the pic was just "random" and did not depict them drunk. "The girls don't have fake IDs, and they don't drink," she asserts. OK, then.
Meanwhile, because we simply can't get enough of the love lives of teenagers, People mag says Kendall is spending time with a 21-year-old rapper named Young Jinsu.
"They're dating -- it's been at least a few months," shares an insider. "They've been getting closer recently, and they've been hanging out all the time."
Alas, the source raises red flags aplenty by noting, "He's so sweet. He kind of reminds you of Chris Brown, but way more charming and really talented."
Let's hope so, considering "sweet" and "Chris Brown" are not words that typically appear in proximity to one another.
According to People, the twosome plan to make their debut next month, when Kendall turns 18.
"I'm sure everything they do goes through Kris," adds the spy. "It has to be approved or it's pre-planned and well thought out. But I think you'll see a lot more of them soon."
Kendall, however, denies she's made a love connection. "Enough with the rumors!" she tweeted on Thursday. "I'm single, people."
