Don't expect Katy Perry to write any emotional pop ditties about her rumored breakup with Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd. Sources say the Russell Brand-divorcing singer feels just fine over the fizzling of her rebound romance with the well-built rocker.
"It wasn't serious," an insider explains to E! News. "She likes him a lot, but it was just a distraction. It was very short-lived. She's still dealing with getting over her marriage, and it's going to take her a while to truly be able to trust anyone again."
Us Weekly echoes the casual nature of the hookup, which was revealed in April when the pair enjoyed PDA aplenty at the Coachella Music Festival.
"It's not a nasty thing and they are still talking, but Katy told him to do his thing and they'll talk soon," says the spy. "No hard feelings. She's really busy and so is he."
Shrugs the E! snitch, "She had doubts about it from the start. ... Rob is a good guy, but she just wants to focus on her work."
