What inspired you to get involved with the New York Public Interest Research Group's Don't Major in Debt campaign and help launch the National College Finance Center?
With the spiraling cost of education these days, for a lot of kids the only choice they have financially is to go to school on loans. I have nieces and nephews who graduated from college and have crippling debt. And the job market being the way it is, I am worried for them, and I am worried for our country. If a kid wants to go to college, it not only serves the kid, it serves us [all], and college has become almost financially prohibited for a lot of people. We've made it really hard on kids to go to college. So I'm really happy to be the face and the voice of this website. I'm really happy that it exists, and it's the first of its kind, and it's about time.
