A bar brawl that broke out while "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" were shooting at the Dominican Republic's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has led to lawsuits against Teresa Giudice, her husband, Joe, Caroline Manzo and members of her family, according to E!. The show's network, Bravo, has also been named as a defendant.
Chicago police officer Adolfo Arreola alleges that his mother-in-law was on the receiving end of a spray of Champagne emanating from Giudice's booze bottle. He claims that the reality TV star proceeded to "mock and humiliate her" as the older woman tried to clear her eyes of bubbly.
The incident reportedly led Arreola and his cousin to confront Giudice, whose husband, Joe, co-star Caroline Manzo and various family members leapt to her defense.
A bar brawl ensued, leaving Arreola with a broken arm and multiple bruises, he asserts in the legal complaint. His cousin, Jason Gomez, claims his leg was broken in the fight. Both Gomez's and Arreola's lawsuits claim the families were "intoxicated, belligerent and rowdy."
Although Gomez and Arreola both initially signed an agreement promising they would not sue, their lawyers now claim they were coerced into that agreement and have the right to pursue legal action.
