  • Yikes! Lena Dunham isn't all too pleased with Shia LaBeouf's recent apology method -- and let the actor know via Twitter. Earlier this week, LaBeouf issued an apology for plagiarizing artist Daniel Clowes by hiring a skywriting team to create a 5-mile-long sign over Los Angeles.

"I've always felt, utterly and unchangeably, that only sociopaths hire skywriters," Dunham, 27, wrote via Twitter on Saturday. Soon after, LaBeouf, 27, retweeted Dunham's comment and immediately gave his two cents.

"I don't mind creating debate with thoroughly considered artistic expressions but I don't want to offend with a tweet. Sorry world," he wrote. "Im addicted to lean; that sh-t ain't no joke. I can barely remember all the things I've done & said. However there's no excuse 4 skywriting."

Dunham's response? "Vaguely recognized Shia Labeouf's latest twitter apology and realized it was MINE! Touche, Louis Stevens," the "Girls" creator quipped. "Projecting a lot of rage against my 7th grade boyfriend on LaBeouf. Think this is the start of something really productive #2014." (Louis Stevens is the Disney character LaBeouf played on the TV series "Even Stevens" from 1999 to 2003.)

In mid-December, LaBeouf got in some hot water when it was discovered that he plagiarized some parts of his short film,, by using some parts from Clowes' 2007 graphic novella, Justin M. Damiano. After posting a slew of apology tweets, the actor then hired skywriters on Jan. 1 to really get his message across. "I am sorry Daniel Clowes," the sky banner read.
